The programme

The Commercial graduate programme is based within our UK-Europe Head Office team in London and provides an opportunity to learn about the power generation business from several different perspectives. The UK- Europe team manage the operation of all International Power plc’s UK and Continental Europe power stations.

Graduates in this stream undertake 4 key placements of 6 months each, moving through UK power and gas trading, risk identification and management, valuation and analysis and our retail business based in Leeds. We aim to provide graduates with a broad exposure to the business in order to build a detailed understanding of the end to end processes and help them decide on their preferred career path within the business.

Throughout each rotation, graduates take part in specific technical based training relevant to their role which is complemented by leadership and personal development.
