The programme
Our Strategy department is based within the Corporate Head office, liaising with the Regional offices on business strategy, sustainable development, enterprise risk management, and business performance.
Graduates undertake a rotational programme that provides the opportunity to move throughout all key areas within the Strategy department.
We aim to provide graduates with a broad exposure to the business in order to build a detailed understanding of our business activities and help them decide on their preferred career path.
Throughout each rotation, graduates take part in specific technical training and personal development activities relevant to their role.
An example of a strategy project is the Enterprise Risk Management report. During this assignment the graduate may support the annual IPR risk assessment exercise. The main objective of this is to identify, evaluate and communicate the most important risks at each organisational level.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for commercially aware graduates who are motivated to really understand the business challenges facing the energy and engineering industries.
The graduate needs to have strong communication skills, a critical mindset and the ability to balance attention to detail together with the capacity to see the overall picture.
